… that is … my words are a podcast.
Did I mention that this makes me very happy?
Back a little while ago, you may recall me sharing a rather … interesting thing that happened to me one day.
It was a Sunday, I think.
It involved me, a phone call, a cup of coffee, a treat of chips and dip … and a small misguided field mouse.
Actually his guiding was spot on … he found the water-filled dip blender in no time flat.
It was the getting out that was misguided.
Which led to me finding said field mouse … and sharing the story here. Struck me as funny.
Turns out it struck someone else as funny, too.
Enter Kris Kepler, hope I spelled that correctly. a voice-over artist from Australia … and my new personal hero. She does voice overs. Seriously.
She also has an online blog … Does This Happen To You … which gets far more attention than my humble offering here, I am sure.
After all … this picture … a Thanksgiving Turkey with dentures … a Christmas light display set to Gangnam Style … what’s not to love?
And she has a podcast.
And … wait for it … she read my blog entry … the one about the field mouse … and asked if she might be allowed to read it as one of her weekly podcasts.
Oh. Here. Is. My. Arm. … Twist. It.
That, of course, made me happy that day … but I figured I would wait to share it here until the actual podcast took place … which it now has.
I have to say, I love her rendition of my words. She portrayed it almost exactly as I would have, had I done the podcast myself. Excellent job, if I do say so myself.
You really need to go to my blog entry here, then play her rendition of it here.
This is a first.
I know my friend Jeanne has been after me for almost a year to write a play … one-act or otherwise … so that her theatre group might enact it.
Flattering to be sure.
And this gives me an idea of what it would be like to write something … then hand it over to someone else to be interpreted for the public.
I like it.
Thanks Kris!!
You’re welcome. Thanks so much for the mention and link to my podcast! I’m not from Australia though, just Seattle. The land of Microsoft, Starbucks, Amazon and legal marijuana.

Ah, the land of all things fun, eh? Things that make me go hmm … every time you show up here, there are hits from Australia, too. And I’d have sworn there was a pic from Perth that was on your site … must need more caffeine.

I grab photos from Flickr available for use on my blog. So, maybe there is a pic from Perth. You’re not mistaken.
