I don’t know who he is … other than a friend of a friend … and you know how those things go. Sounds like a pretty real person. But I followed a link that followed a link and found this.

Did you know today is Groucho Marx’s birthday? October 2, 1890.

Julius Henry “Groucho” Marx was an American comedian and film and television star. He is known as a master of quick wit and widely considered one of the best comedians of the modern era.

This was even before my time, although I remember watching old black and white movies with him and his brothers when I was a child.

The reason I am posting this today, other than it being his birthday, is that David Pomerantz put out a picture of an unpublished letter. From Groucho to a Corporal during the Second World War.

So for no reason other than I thought some of you would enjoy reading it, I am including it as the post for today.

Oh, and Happy Birthday, Groucho … wherever you are.
