One of my earliest memories is that of being on the red wool wall to wall carpet in my parents living room … lying in the sun … on a Sunday afternoon … with the Sunday Comics in front of me.
Okay … so I can’t swear there were Sunday Comics there that particular day. But there certainly were on many other Sunday afternoons in the years to come.
There was something wonderful about escaping into the world of humor that was contained in those colorful strips. And of course I had my favorites.
For whatever reason today my mind went back to those days. That place. That house. And the fact that Sunday afternoons are made for Sunday Funnies.
But this is NaNoWriMo time, after all.
So what better thing than to let you know, in case you already didn’t, about the once a year comic strip that is NaNoToons.
Found at NaNoToons.net, you will see a whole group of cartoons … specifically written for the days leading up to … and the days of … NaNoWriMo.
I have included today’s cartoon at the bottom here, but in order to fully understand the whole thing, you probably need to go here and start with some of the cartoons from mid-October forward.
The characters are engaging … for writers … and the strips are spot-on funny … for NaNoWriMo participants.
Oh, and there is a musical. By the same folks. Check them both out.

Love the Nanotoons! Long time, no chat, thought I would give you an award. Drop by if they don’t bring you out in a rash! http://friendlyfairytales.com/2013/11/25/awarded-blog-of-the-year-among-other-blessings/ Warmly, Brenda
