… or at least you like my blog posts.… or at least you want me to check out your blog posts.
… or at least your finger jerked and you accidentally hit the like button.
But for whatever the reason is, today I saw the little indication at the top of my screen here that I … or rather my blog … had hit another new milestone.
One thousand times, someone has read … or pretended to read … my blog and said they liked it.
Now, do I care whether the person read every single word? Or whether they just clicked on Like from the brief slug that they saw? Or whether they had ulterior motives for the Like clicking? Or the fact that everyone else reaches this milestone lots sooner than I have?
No. I. Do. Not.
Or as a friend always says … oh no wait … that’s me who always says this to my friends …
What other people think of you is none of your business.
Okay, except maybe in this case.
It matters. It is really cool. People have … for whatever reason known only to them … gone to the extra effort of clicking the Like button.
I even think it is really cool that the current tally is 1004. That’s kind of like 10-04. Like the Police code 10-04. Message received, understood. Acknowledged. OK.
Oh, and my birthday is on 10/4.
So there’s that.
My message back to you all would be “10-04! I’ll be 10-05-ing since it makes me so happy. By all means keep 10-09-ing.” **
And Thank You!

but I thought you’d get a laugh out of this:
